Class Structure
Beginners Class — 60 Minutes
Groove Warm-Up
Bounce and rock drills to lock into the beat — the shared foundation every street style is built on, and the part that gets the room smiling.
Foundations Rotation
Each week digs into a different pillar — locking points, popping hits, top rock patterns or house footwork — so your vocabulary grows across the whole street dance family.
The Routine
A street choreography block that stacks the session's foundations into a routine, set to funk, hip-hop or house depending on the week's style.
Freestyle Time
Guided improvisation with optional friendly battles — learning to trust your own movement instead of memorising someone else's.
Cypher & Cool-Down
The circle where everyone shares what they have got — never compulsory, always cheered — followed by a proper stretch-down.
About Street Dance Classes in London
Street dance is London's working style. The capital's music-video shoots, tours and TV bookings run on street dancers, and the people teaching our street dance classes in London are drawn from that working pool — dancers who spend their weeks on set and their evenings passing the foundations on. You learn locking, popping, breaking and house from people who use them professionally.
Classes run for kids, teens and adults at partner studios in Zones 1 and 2 — Camden and Shoreditch are our main bases — every one of them a short walk from a tube or Overground stop, so a class after work is genuinely doable from any compass point of the city. Leave the car at home; the interchanges do the work.
No experience needed — the groove is where everyone starts. Browse all 20 of our dance classes in London, book a street dance hen party for a one-off group session, or see street dance classes in our other 66 cities.

Street Dance in London FAQ
Everything you need to know before your first class.
Where in London are the street dance classes? +
Classes run at partner studios in Zones 1 and 2 — the Camden and Shoreditch areas are our main bases — with kids' sessions spread across the boroughs. Exact venue details are confirmed when you register, and every studio is a short walk from a tube or Overground stop.
How much do street dance classes cost in London? +
Drop-in sessions are £8 — no membership, no contract, just turn up. Block bookings at a discount will be offered once the regular schedule is confirmed for your nearest studio.
What ages do you teach? +
Adults from 17 to 75 in the main classes, with separate teen (15–16) and children's groups (9–14 and 6–8) taught by DBS-checked professionals. Pick your age group on the enquiry form and we will point you at the right session.
Do I need any dance experience? +
None. Every class starts with the groove — the bounce and rock that anyone can find — and builds from there. Complete beginners are the majority in our starter sessions, not the exception.
What should I wear? +
Comfortable clothes you can move in and flat-soled trainers with decent cushioning. Street dance culture rates personal style, so beyond that — wear whatever feels like you.
What is the difference between street dance and hip-hop classes? +
Street dance is the umbrella: locking, popping, breaking, house and more, rotated through the sessions. Our hip-hop classes in London go deeper on hip-hop grooves, party dances and choreography specifically. Plenty of dancers do both.
Will I learn breaking? +
Yes — top rock, footwork and freezes are part of the style rotation, alongside locking, popping and house. If breaking grabs you, London's jam and battle scene is the natural next step, and we will point you to it.
Can you run street dance sessions at my school or venue in London? +
Yes — we are also London's mobile street dance team. School workshops, birthday parties and youth-club sessions run across all boroughs and inside the M25. Use the form and mention your venue.
Is there freestyling in class? +
Structured freestyle exercises and an optional cypher feature in most sessions — it is where street dance really lives. Nobody is pushed into the circle, but by month two most people want in.
