Class Structure

Beginners Class — 60 Minutes

0–10 mins

Prime the Body

K-pop asks for sharp, precise movement, so we warm up for exactly that — quick isolations, clean stops and starts, and the control the choreography will lean on.

10–25 mins

Break Down the Verse

We take a genuine title-track section and pull it apart move by move, drilling each shape slowly until the timing sits before anything speeds up.

25–40 mins

Formations & Facings

The part videos live on — where you stand, where you turn, how the group reshuffles mid-phrase. We map it so it holds together as a set, not just solo steps.

40–50 mins

Bring It to Tempo

Now we lift it to speed, run the section clean, and add the little accents and expressions that make idol choreography read on camera.

50–60 mins

Optional Film & Cool Down

An optional phone clip so you can see exactly what to sharpen, then a proper stretch after a session that finishes at full pace.

About K-Pop Classes in Manchester

Pop has nothing drilled tighter than K-pop — every accent pinned to the beat, formations that rearrange in the middle of a phrase, and a camera swallowing the lot. A sofa and a rewind button will not get you there. Our K-pop dance classes in Manchester take the unhurried, proper route: authentic routines straight off the charts, girl-group and boy-group tracks alike, dismantled slowly and put back together.

Manchester runs young, international and thick with students, and the UK's second-biggest Chinatown sits a couple of streets from the studio, so the floor is usually packed, mixed and thoroughly game. For movement built to meet a lens there are few better homes — Salford Quays and MediaCityUK make it a live-television city. We run partner studios in the city centre and the Northern Quarter; the exact one lands with your booking.

No dance history is expected and not one word of Korean — the counts carry everything, and the tempo only lifts after the slow run sits rock-solid, so even a first night closes on a chorus you'd gladly film. Ages span seventeen to seventy-five, under-17s get supervised junior and teen bands, and eight pounds gets you in with no contract attached.

Why Choose K-Pop in Manchester?

Built to Be Filmed

MediaCityUK and Salford Quays make Manchester a genuine TV town, and K-pop is choreography designed for a camera — an optional weekly phone clip shows you exactly what needs tightening.

The Real Choreography

Actual title-track routines from girl and boy groups, not diluted versions — just slowed enough for a newcomer to stay with the group.

A Young World City

One of Britain's largest student populations and a Chinatown on the doorstep keep the room busy, international and full of people at roughly your level.

Under-17s Have a Class

Younger fans train in their own age-banded groups with DBS-checked coaches — one of our best-loved sessions for the under-17 crowd.

Your K-Pop Journey

From first class to confident dancer — here is how it usually goes.

Weeks 1–4

Counts & Control

First Section

One chunk of a genuine routine, taken slowly by the count. The aim is clean, accurate movement rather than speed early on.

What to Wear

Clothes you can snap and move sharply in, plus clean indoor trainers. Bring a layer — you warm up fast as the tempo climbs.

Months 2–3

Speed & Formation

Up to Tempo

The slow pass tightens and then quickens, and formations come in — where you move, when you turn, how the group locks together.

On Camera

Optional phone clips join the routine, flagging precisely which corner wants polishing next week.

Months 4–6

Full Routines

Whole Tracks

You start carrying near-complete routines from chart songs, expression and accents included, not just isolated eight-counts.

Range

We rotate groups and eras so you build breadth — a stack of routines rather than one song on endless repeat.

Months 6+

Performance Sharp

Camera-Ready

Precise, synced and confident enough to nail a routine in one clean take, facings and all.

Where Next

Group filming days, our own events, or diving into the newest comeback the moment it drops.

K-Pop in Manchester FAQ

Everything you need to know before your first class.

Will my lack of dance training or Korean hold me back? +

Not in the slightest. Everything is taught by numbers, so Korean never enters into it, and outright beginners are precisely who these sessions are for. The counting clicks inside your first hour.

How soon will I manage a whole routine? +

A solid chunk usually lands within a few weeks, and something close to a full routine inside a couple of months. We lock the slow pass in before speeding up, so it feels steady rather than a scramble.

Which part of Manchester hosts the K-pop classes? +

Partner studios in the city centre and the Northern Quarter, with the precise room confirmed at booking. Piccadilly and Victoria are both a brief walk or Metrolink ride away.

Is it girl-group or boy-group choreography? +

Both, cycling through the term. We draw genuine title-track routines from across the K-pop landscape, and there's no fixed list of artists — the counting approach fits whichever track we pick.

Do I actually have to be recorded? +

Only by choice. We shoot optional phone clips because they sharpen your learning fast and Manchester is a live-TV city, but nobody is ever nudged toward the camera against their wishes.

How much is a K-pop session here? +

Eight pounds a drop-in, no membership or tie-in. As soon as your nearest studio fixes a weekly time, discounted session blocks go on offer beside it.

What's best to turn up in? +

Clothes that let you move crisply and clean indoor trainers. Pack a layer to shed — the class starts easy and ends flat-out, so you heat up quicker than you'd think.

Can younger fans join in Manchester? +

They can — juniors and teens have their own DBS-supervised groups. It's one of our most in-demand under-17 sessions, and zero experience is needed to start.

New comebacks or older hits? +

A blend. We favour whatever's big right now but fold classics back in, keeping the playlist lively and building you a spread of routines rather than a single one on loop.
