Wedding Dance Lessons in Swansea
First-dance choreography made to order by Swansea's professional wedding dance instructors — from a calm, confident sway to a routine the whole room still talks about.
Your First Dance, Done Properly
A Routine Shaped Around Your Song
Send us the track and the choreographer works outward from it — its tempo, the line the whole room waits for, the second every phone comes up. Whether you picture a classic waltz or something guests never expect, it belongs to you alone, made once for the two of you. We take couples marrying anywhere from a Mumbles hotel to a farm barn out on Gower.
Built for Beginners
Barely any of the couples we see have ever taken a dance lesson, and that is the whole point: routines that look polished from the guest tables yet are assembled from simple, repeatable moves anyone can hold onto. Already taking dance classes in Swansea? You will fly.
Lessons Built Around Your Week
One-to-one sessions at a central Swansea studio, dropped in around work and all the wedding planning, evenings and weekends alike — or your choreographer heads out to you across the city, the Mumbles and Gower. Sorting a hen party too? The same choreographers cover both, sorted in a single chat.

Choose Your Dance Style
The first-dance styles couples ask for most — and your choreographer will bend any of them to fit your track and what you can manage.
Traditional Waltz
The evergreen pick — elegant, romantic and equally at ease in a grand hall or a marquee pitched out on Gower.
Modern Romantic
Relaxed, close movement that skips the formal ballroom frame — for couples who want to still look like themselves, only smoother.
Latin Fusion
The warmth of rumba and bachata with a hint of theatre — the sort of connection guests pick up on from the far tables.
Swing & Jive
Quick, upbeat and thoroughly catching — the style that has guests off their seats before the track even finishes.
Dramatic Spotlight
Lifts, dips and set-piece moments for couples chasing an audible gasp — put together safely and drilled until they feel routine.
Song Transitions
Ease in slowly, then swerve into something nobody expects — a multi-track number with about the best reaction-per-second there is.
From the Dance Floor
Swansea couples talking about the first dances we made with them.
"We slipped off and married quietly abroad, then held the big celebration for family months later. The first dance was our chance to give everyone the moment they'd missed. We learned it properly and drifted through 'Songbird'."Married in the Mumbles
"We assumed we'd just muddle through, then panicked and booked in with days to spare. One evening later we had a proper routine and a neat edit of our song. Calm, clear, and exactly the reassurance we needed."Last-Minute Package
"Talking the lads into a group routine was easier than teaching them rhythm, but the coaching worked miracles. From stepping on each other early on to a slick number on the day — the couple's faces alone made it worth it."Wedding Party Choreography

Wedding Dance FAQ
Everything couples tend to ask before booking a first dance in Swansea — the nerves, the timing, the song and the venue.
We genuinely have two left feet — is there any hope for us?
Those couples are exactly the ones these lessons exist for. Almost everyone we take on starts from no dancing at all. Your choreographer chooses steps that look far trickier than they are and drills them in small chunks until your body just knows them — and yes, the nerves are factored in.
How far in advance should we begin?
A window of two to three months feels comfortable — one session a week or fortnight, with a bit of practice in between. Cut it fine and the two-hour Last-Minute intensive has still saved couples down to their final fortnight, and it can usually go in the same week.
Are we allowed to use absolutely any song?
Absolutely any track. Send it over and the routine grows out of its pace and its key moments; if it drags on, we cut it to something you can perform. Not settled on one yet? Your choreographer will hand you a shortlist to match the style you fancy.
Do you choreograph parent dances as well?
We do — every dance at the wedding, not only the couple's. Parent dances, whole bridal-party numbers and secret surprises come through constantly, all charged at the ordinary session rate, at our studios or your venue.
What if one of us is secretly dreading it?
So common it is almost expected. The lessons are private, with no class and no onlookers, and the choreographer paces the whole thing around whichever of you is warier. By session two, that dread has usually flipped into a quiet bit of showing off.
So where do the lessons actually happen?
In private studios around central Swansea, arranged to suit your diary with evenings and weekends fine — or the choreographer comes to your home or venue across Swansea and Gower. A last run-through at the wedding venue itself is a favourite extra.
