Dance Jobs in Middlesbrough
Teaching and choreography work right across Teesside — freelance hours you choose, £22 an hour and up, slotted around the performing you're already doing.
Teach Dance Across Teesside
Our Middlesbrough diary keeps filling — weeknight classes, Saturday hen parties, first-dance choreography and school workshops — and every one of them needs a trained dancer who can actually teach. If that's you, we want to hear from you.
Actually Paid Well
Weekly classes pay from £22 an hour and hen or wedding work from £25, sorted before you start and in your account on time — no chasing invoices for weeks.
Fits Round Your Career
You tell us when you're free and we book into it. Plenty of our Teesside teachers do anything from two to ten hours a week around auditions and contracts, then hit pause the moment a job lands.
Space to Grow
Build up your own weekly class with our marketing doing the legwork, get first shout on casting from our events roster, and shift between roles as you fancy stretching yourself.

Dance Jobs Middlesbrough FAQ
The questions instructors most often ask before signing up with the Teesside team.
Do I have to be a qualified teacher to apply?
It's a nice-to-have, never a deal-breaker. What actually lands the role is solid training or stage experience plus the knack of commanding a room. A fair few of our strongest instructors learned to teach purely by dancing.
What does the pay actually look like?
The base rate is £22 an hour on weekly classes and £25 on hen-party or wedding choreography. Every booking's rate is fixed in advance, settled without delay, and reviewed upward as your workload grows.
What styles have you got vacancies in?
Right across all twenty on the timetable — from ballet, ballroom and tap to street, K-pop, heels and the rest — alongside hen-party leaders and first-dance choreographers. Cover a handful of styles and you'll book up quickest around the Tees Valley.
Am I signing up full-time or is it freelance?
It's freelance, and you set the shape of it. One instructor might keep a single weekly slot; another packs classes, weekend hen dos and school workshops into most of the week. None of it is use-it-or-lose-it.
I'm still auditioning and gigging — does that work?
That's precisely the sort of person we look for. Most of the Teesside crew are working performers teaching between contracts. Send over your rough availability and we'll fit the diary to it — then park it whenever a tour comes calling.
