About This Samba Hen Party Dance Class in Middlesbrough

Samba is carnival compressed into an hour, and a Samba dance hen party Middlesbrough session drops all that colour and bounce into your weekend. This is the Brazilian street style rather than the ballroom kind — bouncing feet, rolling hips and arms thrown wide — the dance of Rio's parade blocks. It is loud, joyful and impossible to do with a straight face, which is exactly why it suits a hen group.

There is no weekly samba hall in Middlesbrough, so we bring the carnival to you — a hired room in the town centre, a hotel space, or a front room out in Marton or Nunthorpe. Your instructor teaches the bouncy samba-no-pé step piece by piece, adds a travelling section and some big carnival arms, and builds it into a routine the whole group performs together. No partners, no experience, no standing still.

A Samba dance hen do Middlesbrough runs on one flat figure told to you up front — £140 for an hour or £165 for ninety minutes for the entire group, never per head, so extra hens arriving late change nothing. A £10 group add-on of chilled bubbly is there if you want to raise a glass before heading out around Teesside for the night.

What Our Hens Say

Samba hen parties we have taught across Middlesbrough.

"We booked samba as a joke and it turned into the best hour of the whole do. The bounce is impossible to resist and the instructor had the entire room in feathers and stitches. Absolutely made the weekend."

— Rhiannon Dodds ★★★★★
Samba

"She brought the carnival to our hotel room in the town centre — drums, glitter, the lot. My nana was throwing carnival arms about like she was born in Rio. We have not stopped talking about it."

— Imogen Wanless ★★★★★

"Loud, colourful and so much fun. Five of us turned up who had never danced and by the end we were all in the same routine. One price, no maths, just brilliant."

— Farrah Iqbal ★★★★★

"Did samba first, then out around town, and honestly the bride was still bouncing in the taxi. Every hen said it beat any bar crawl. Book it before anything else."

— Holly Applegarth ★★★★★

Samba Hen Party FAQ

Everything you need to know about our Samba hen party dance class in Middlesbrough.

Do we need partners or any dance background? +

No to both. Samba here is a solo group style, so there is no holding and nobody is paired up. Every step is taught from scratch and the pace sits with the least confident person in the room. The bounce does most of the work, and within twenty minutes even the hen who never dances is moving with everyone else.

Where does the samba class take place? +

At a venue of your choosing. There is no regular samba class in Middlesbrough, so we come to you — a hired room in the centre, a hotel function space, or a living room out in Acklam, Marton or Nunthorpe. Give us the postcode when booking and the instructor brings the music, the energy and the whole routine.

How is the class priced? +

One flat group price covers everyone — £140 for an hour or £165 for ninety minutes — rather than a fee per hen. The number who show up on the day does not move the total, so last-minute arrivals are welcome. Add chilled bubbly for £10 for the group if you want a toast when the dancing stops.

What should we wear, and can we go full carnival? +

Comfortable clothes you can bounce in — leggings or shorts and a vest work best because samba is warm work. Trainers or bare feet on a smooth floor are ideal. Plenty of groups add feather headbands, sashes or a splash of glitter for photos, and it looks brilliant, but none of it is needed to join in.

Is this ballroom samba or the carnival kind? +

The carnival kind. Ballroom samba is a partner dance you might see on Strictly, whereas ours is the Brazilian street style danced solo in Rio's parades — bouncy, fast-footed and full of arms. It is far easier for a mixed group to pick up because there is no partner to coordinate with, just the beat to follow.

How energetic is it — will everyone manage? +

It is lively, but built so everyone keeps up. The instructor scales the bounce to the room, adds sit-out moments if anyone needs a breather, and keeps the focus on fun rather than fitness. Grandmothers, pregnant bridesmaids and reluctant dancers all get through it happily — you set the energy and we match it.
