Class Structure
Beginners Class — 60 Minutes
Warm, Then Together
We warm up with some quick cardio and go straight into a unison drill, everyone snapping a couple of basic counts at exactly the same moment — because the whole point of K-pop is a group that reads as one unit, not one dancer stealing the frame.
Slow The Signature Move
Every song has its trademark gestures, so we pull them out and slow them right down — the exact splay of the fingers, the turn of a wrist, the tilt of the hand — drilling each until it is clean well ahead of putting speed back in.
Build The Chorus In Blocks
The chorus comes to you in small blocks. We take each one up to speed and make it solid before the following block is added, which stops the earlier material leaking away as the routine grows.
Claim Your Position
Next we add spacing — who stands where and how you swap places on a given count. This is the detail that lifts a random cluster of people into something that looks like an actual idol line-up.
Film It, Stretch It Out
We run the whole section together and, if the group fancies it, film a take so you can watch just how locked the sync is, then bring everyone down with a proper stretch.
About K-Pop Classes in Preston
We won't dress this up: there is no established weekly K-pop night in Preston, and inventing one would help nobody. Our approach is different and deliberately flexible — coach-led K-pop sessions arranged around the dates that work for you, held either at a confirmed studio in the centre or taken out to a space near you across central Lancashire.
The Preston fandom is genuine but scattered, and this finally gives it a floor to share rather than a bedroom mirror to dance at alone. Bring a handful of friends who already know every count, or come along by yourself and meet others who have been streaming the same groups around the city.
There is nothing else quite like K-pop choreography, and that is a big part of why nailing it is so satisfying. It hangs on precise point moves — those signature gestures made to be copied frame for frame — woven into formations that shift and reshuffle on the count, all polished to a sharp, camera-ready finish. Each session is a flat £8, settled as you go.

Why Choose K-Pop in Preston?
Locked In As One
The real buzz of K-pop is a whole group snapping into the same shape on the same beat, and drilling that sync turns out to be strangely addictive once the room starts landing it.
Point Moves, Sharpened
Those signature gestures are the first thing fans notice, so we slow them to a crawl and drill the detail until yours look like the music video rather than a rough copy.
We Come To You
With no fixed base in the city, we bring the session to a studio or room near you across Preston and central Lancashire, giving a scattered fandom a floor to share.
See The Sync Tighten
An optional film of each run lets you actually watch the timing lock in week on week — far more telling, and more fun, than only feeling it from the inside.
Your K-Pop Journey
From first class to confident dancer — here is how it usually goes.
Timing Before Flash
Land It Together
The first hour is about hitting simple counts at the exact same instant as everyone around you — the skill K-pop is really built on, long before any hard choreography.
One Gesture, Rebuilt Slow
You take a single signature move apart at crawling pace and put it back together clean, leaving with one point move that genuinely matches the group you copied.
The Chorus Grows
Block By Block
The main section arrives in small chunks, each one looped up to tempo and locked before the next attaches, so the routine builds without anything falling off the back.
Detail Survives Speed
The point moves you drilled slowly start holding their shape at full pace, and the section begins to resemble the video rather than an approximation.
Into Formation
Owning Your Spot
You learn where you stand and how you switch places on the count, and the group stops looking like a huddle and starts looking staged.
Moving As A Set
The transitions between positions start landing together, which is the moment a room of individuals reads as one line-up.
Camera Ready
Tight Enough To Film
By now the sync is close enough that a playback looks genuinely sharp, and watching it back becomes a highlight rather than a wince.
Ready For The Next Track
With the method learned — slow the point, block the chorus, set the formation — a fresh song stops being daunting and starts being the fun part.
K-Pop in Preston FAQ
Everything you need to know before your first class.
Do I need any dance experience for K-pop? +
None at all. Our K-pop classes in Preston are aimed at complete adult beginners — we break the point moves down slowly and build the sync from the ground up, so week one assumes you have never danced.
How much does it cost? +
A flat £8 per session, paid as you go. Because sessions are arranged around you there is no membership and nothing to commit to up front.
There's no weekly class — how do I actually join? +
Straight up, Preston has no standing weekly K-pop night, so we set sessions up directly with you around your own dates, either at a confirmed city-centre studio or brought to a room near you.
Which areas around Preston do you cover? +
Preston and the towns around it — Fulwood, Cottam, Ribbleton, Broughton and Penwortham among them. We bring the session to a space near you rather than fixing you to one venue.
Can I come on my own, or do I need a group? +
Either works. Book with a few friends who share the playlists, or come solo and dance alongside others who have been learning the same routines — plenty of people arrive by themselves.
Which groups' choreography do you teach? +
We build sessions around the routines the group wants — current chart-toppers or older signature tracks. Tell us the songs you are into when you book and we will tailor the choreography.
What should I wear? +
Comfortable clothes you can move sharply in and clean trainers with decent grip. K-pop involves quick direction changes, so supportive footwear helps far more than fashion does.
Will we get to film it? +
If the group is happy to, yes — an optional playback at the end lets you see how tight the sync is. There is never any pressure to be filmed, and nothing is shared anywhere.
How old do I need to be? +
Our adult sessions run from 17 to 75. For younger dancers keen on K-pop, get in touch and we can point you toward suitable local options.
